Cambridge Original Printmakers showcases local talent

Don't miss the opportunity to buy limited edition original prints from the amazing local printmaking talent at the Cambridge Original Printmakers Biennale exhibition, which opened yesterday (Thurs) and continues until Wednesday 28 September at the Pitt Building in Trumpington Street, Cambridge CB2 1RP.

Independent Cambridge writes:

Cambridge Original Printmakers is a wonderful, independent event that aims to celebrate, educate and promote hand-made original printmaking within the Cambridgeshire area.

The 2016 exhibition will have individual printmakers who specialise in hand-pulled, original work. MA students from Anglia Ruskin University; The Print Studio printhouse who edition artists’ work; St Barnabas Press, an open access and editioning studio and The Curwen Print Study Centre, an educational charity will also be exhibiting.

Exciting keynote talks will be taking place throughout the weekend days including Angie Lewin and Dr Véronique Chance as well as other prominent printmakers.

During the weekdays, there will be print demonstrations, where you can find out about different printmaking techniques that perhaps you have never encountered before. Visitors will also have the opportunity to take part in a very innovative and collaborative print project.
