Beating the odds: Enterprise Tuesday with Tim Jones, Allia CEO

Tim Jones, CEO of Allia and space pioneer Professor Monica Grady CBE will be talking at Enterprise Tuesday next week (8th November) about what entrepreneurs and innovators can learn about beating the odds from the Rosetta space project to land Philae on a comet.

Tim Jones is CEO of Allia. His career has spanned financial services, SME start-up and social entrepreneurship. Tim serves on the boards of Retail Charity Bonds Plc and the Business School at Anglia Ruskin University. He was recently made a Fellow in Entrepreneurship at Cambridge Judge Business School.

Tim will be joined by Monica Grady CBE. Professor of Planetary and Space Sciences at the Open University, Monica was involved in the European Space Agency’s Rosetta space probe project. She’ll be talking about how the team overcame the odds to successfully land Philae (Rosetta’s lander module) on a comet in 2014.
