In December 2016 Care Network Cambridgeshire announced that it had won a £500,000 Big Lottery Grant to build on its work helping people stay healthy, independent and in touch with their community. This follows hard on the announcement that the charity has been awarded a four year contract by Cambridgeshire County Council to provide a "Community Navigator" service.

The organisation now needs new trustees, including a treasurer to help lead the work forward. Chief Officer, Ruth McCallum said "We have had some very committed trustees who have had to leave in the last year, so we are starting 2017 with a drive to find at least 3 more trustees including a treasurer".

Trustees need to attend six meetings a year and are encouraged to spend some additional time with the charity helping in a way which suits their skills and interests.
