Explore Independent Cambridge: Neil Curry Hairdressing

With the recent launch of the third edition of Independent Cambridge - the definitive guide to ‘real’ Cambridge - Cambridge Network resumes its weekly exploration of the best independent shops, cafés, restaurants, venues and events in Cambridge and the surrounding area. This week: Neil Curry Hairdressing.

If, when you visit the hairdressers, you appreciate a very professional yet personal service in a relaxing, quiet environment, then an appointment with Neil Curry will be just your thing.

This central Cambridge-based salon is situated off busy Bridge Street, near The Varsity Hotel on Thompson’s Lane and not far from Jesus Green. It’s easy to get to by bus or bike and the Park Street car park is literally just around the corner.

Cambridge born and bred, Neil began his career in hairdressing over 30 years ago and has built up a loyal and devoted clientele – mainly by word of mouth which says a lot about his creativity and skill. He moved to his current salon in 2001 where his clients can appreciate a very special time in the chair.

Truly passionate about his work, Neil specialises in precision cutting and colouring and is equally passionate about the products and the hairdressing industry as a whole. He uses only Redken products to provide the highest quality in shampooing, treatments and colouring. In fact, he has worked with Redken for over 20 years and regularly attends their training seminars in London with other top hairdressers from all over the country.
