Arthur Rank Hospice would love you to join them at their wonderfully indulgent Sparkling Afternoon Tea on Thursday 23 March. Funds raised during the fabulously relaxing afternoon will help the Hospice to raise the £2 million required each year to fund essential care to those living with a life limiting illness in Cambridgeshire.

A grand total of £14,265 has now been raised by the event since its first outing in 2010. Tasha Hills, Events Officer at Arthur Rank Hospice Charity, says: “This is always a lovely event to come along to, especially as a family or with friends as part of a Mother’s Day or birthday celebration, or even just because it’s a little bit of indulgence for you and your colleagues with the guilt-free excuse that it’s all for a great cause. We’re thrilled Steve Elstub – Head Gardener at Clare College - is able to join us as special guest speaker this year, so are looking forward to hearing his stories and top gardening tips for wonderful blooms this summer!”

As well as sharing top tips, Mr Elstub will answer questions and help guests with any gardening woes. Complementing the gardening theme for 2017 – and helping to raise further funds for the Charity - Cambridge Plant Interiors will be in attendance with their pop up shop and further advice, alongside crafts by Margaret Warner and jewellery by artist Tricia Taylor.

Guests will also of course, enjoy Quy Mill Hotel and Spa’s top quality silver service, dining on neatly cut sandwiches, mouth-watering cakes and delicious scones with jam and clotted cream, whilst Kristen Ellery’s dulcet vocal tones will add an elegant ambiance to proceedings.

The luxury raffle will see visitors walk away with Harrods Hampers and meal vouchers and silent bids will be invited for a beautiful Cellini pearl bracelet.

Throw away your cares and worries for a few hours on the afternoon of Thursday 23 March: tickets are £19.50 per person and available at http://www.arhc.org.uk/afternoon-tea-party.asp or by calling Abi or Tasha on 01223 675888. Full details of the event can also be found here, or for the latest news and to invite your friends, please feel free to join the Event on Facebook, at: https://www.facebook.com/events/739144242926377/
