Glen Sharp, Junior Bursar and Fellow of Trinity Hall, is joined by Andrew Lloyd, Development Manager at University of Cambridge, and Robert Davey, Local Director for Metro Bank, in time for the new financial year which starts next month (April). Amy Rhys-Davies, Manager of Lion Yard Shopping Centre, was additionally appointed last Autumn.

Glen Sharp - who has worked in Cambridge for 25 years - joined Trinity Hall as Junior Bursar in 2007 following a stand-out career in Project Management. He has managed projects at Addenbrooke’s, Hills Road Sixth Form College, University of East Anglia, Ipswich Hospital, King’s Lynn Hospital as well as managing the Air Traffic Control tower at Cambridge Airport and various schemes for Marshalls including the Aerospace building on Newmarket Road. His specialist skills include property management, finance and the hospitality sector.

Andrew Lloyd has been working as a Development Manager for the University of Cambridge for two years, leading two major developments within the historic core - the New Museums and Old Press Mill Lane sites, which he describes as a “passionate property professional”, he has previously worked for Taylor Woodrow (Northern building division), Tesco Property and Spenhill, the regeneration subsidiary of Tesco. His core skills are property development, mixed use development (retail sector and night time economy), engineering and negotiation.

Andrew Lloyd has been working as a Development Manager for the University of Cambridge for two years, leading two major developments within the historic core - the New Museums and Old Press Mill Lane sites – which he describes as a “once in a lifetime opportunity” to transform a key part of central Cambridge for the city. Best described as a ‘passionate property professional’, Andrew has previously worked for Taylor Woodrow, and Spenhill, the regeneration subsidiary of Tesco. His core skills are property development, mixed use development (retail sector and night time economy) and engineering.

Robert Davey is the first representative from fast-growing Metro Bank to join the Cambridge BID board. As the bank’s Local Director, based in Christ’s Lane, he works closely with local businesses, individuals and schools in the area. Previously, his financial and strategic acumen was put to good use at Barclays and Royal Bank of Scotland, where he worked with clients such as Anglian Water and BG Group PLC.

Amy Rhys-Davies, meanwhile, brings a wealth of expertise in strategic asset planning, budgeting control, health & safety and marketing. She began her property management career at London’s prestigious Royal Exchange, before joining Higher Chelmer shopping centre (Chelmsford) as Deputy Manager in 2003. She has been Centre Manager at Lion Yard for five years and, as such, is especially well placed to understand the needs of the local business community.

Ian Sandison, Chairman of Cambridge BID, said: “I am delighted to welcome these four very talented individuals, who bring further experience and added dimension to our existing Board. All our directors have an especially strong interest in seeing Cambridge prosper as both an accessible and enjoyable place to work in as well as to visit.

“This invigorated Board will play a vital role in developing plans including a range of initiatives to benefit the 1100 businesses within the BID Area, and bringing forward an agenda of positive change across the city centre.”
