Launched in September 2016, the Cummins Environmental Gateway attracted more than 100 submissions in just 40 days. The ideas came from innovators, small businesses (SMEs) as well as corporates around Britain and the world.

The Cummins Environmental Gateway Successful Innovators will test their ingenious innovations at Cummins sites, office or community space in the UK, within the second quarter 2017.

As well as enabling Cummins to address its costs and environmental impact, the environmental Gateway supports Cummins in their effort to increase their proportion of spending with diverse suppliers by 2020, and achieve an innovative culture within the value chain.

Martin Garratt, CEO of Cambridge Cleantech comments: “Promoting new contract opportunities to our members is at the heart of Cambridge Cleantech's activities and we regularly scour the marketplace to alert members to new opportunities, thereby enabling them to sell their products to innovation hungry corporates.  Having promoted the new Cummins Environmental Gateway, we are delighted that two of our members, Epicam and Savortex have been successful in securing trials of their products with Cummins”.

Denis Ford - International Sourcing Leader EMEA, NE/SE Asia & S. Pacific at Cummins said: We would like to thank once again Cambridge Cleantech for their brilliant support and most specially, we would like to congratulate Epicam and Savortex, Cambridge Cleantech members for making the Cummins Environmental Gateway Successful Innovators List 2017. Together we can do more for innovation and environment”.

Tony Dye, Managing Director of Epicam, comments “we saw the contract alert from Cambridge Cleantech, entered the competition and have come out as winners, which we are delighted about. I will be working closely with Cummins to start trials soon”.

Marcela Navarro, CEO of Business Cubed (formerly responsible for the successful design and deployment of the RBS Innovation Gateway) said: “Everyone connected with the Cummins Environmental Gateway has been incredibly impressed by the innovators’ talent and dedication to environment and innovation. The quality and the range of ideas from companies like Epicam and Savortex from Cambridge Cleantech has been phenomenal and Cambridge Cleantech’s support in accessing this community of quality innovators has been vital.
