The launch evening signalled the start of a string of dining events demonstrating the diverse cuisine the College produces and the adaptable venue spaces it offers.

Guests were welcomed to the Crausaz Wordsworth Building with champagne and an opportunity to approach different chef stations to try fresh sushi and a range of canapés. Dinner was served in the state-of-the-art plenary room, where the College’s local suppliers took to the stage throughout the meal to talk about their produce that featured on the menu.

Alexis Moreau, conference and catering manager at Robinson College, said: “We’re excited to launch our dine+ service and provide guests with events that showcase the talent of our chefs. We have a fantastic team at Robinson College who are constantly adapting our menus to offer a cuisine that is both creative and exciting.

Coming into summer we thought it would be a great opportunity to invite guests to have their say about what our menu should include. The evening was a great success with everyone getting involved and providing feedback on the different dishes on offer. We’re now excited to take this feedback and redefine our summer menu.”

The fine-dining event was the first in a series that will take place over the coming months. Robinson College is passionate about showcasing its local suppliers. Key event sponsors of the launch evening included Airport Lynx, ABFW Fine Wines, Sheringhams Fine Foods, The Cambridge Juice Company and Denham Estate.

The next dine+ event will be a Korean evening hosted on Thursday 8 June atthe Dining Hall, Robinson College, Grange Road, Cambridge CB3 9AN. Ticketsare £37.50 and available from celebrations@robinson.cam.ac.uk
