Don’t forget to register for Pure’s next Charity Leaders Forum on 21 June

Pure will be hosting its annual Charity Leaders Forum this Wednesday (21 June) in Cambridge, providing the opportunity for leaders and CEOs of charitable organisations across the Eastern region to come together, network and discuss key issues.

This event will be hosted by David Culley, Associate Director at Pure, who will lead discussions on defining and maintaining a clear employer culture. David will also be joined by several guest speakers including Judith Coplowe and John Stanton of PEM who will be looking at data protection regulation changes and the impact these could have on planning for fundraising. Vin Pandha of Lloyds Bank will advise on fraud guidance and protection techniques and David Beeney from Breaking the Silence will share his experience of mental health in the workplace and look at positive strategies for creating stigma free environments.

This annual event has proved extremely beneficial to charity leaders in the past and Pure hopes that even more organisations will be able to take part this year.

David explained: “Being the leader of a charitable organisation can sometimes be a lonely existence. There can be limited opportunities for networking with peers and for developing skills which are beneficial to the organisation, especially with funding being focussed directly on the charity’s cause. That’s why we decided to develop a dedicated forum to bring the region’s CEOs and charity leaders together to benefit from shared experiences and guest expertise. We hope to see as many people there as possible so that we can continue to develop the success of the fantastic organisations delivering incredible support to local communities across the region.”

The Charity Leaders Forum will take place at the Holiday Inn, Impington in Cambridge on Wednesday 21 June. The event starts at 8am and will continue through to 12.30pm, with lunch included. The cost to attend is £20 +VAT, and all proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to Pure’s nominated charity STARS, a children’s bereavement support service based in Cambridge.
