About 8power: Powering the sensor revolution with Global Asset Intelligence.

8power is a new start-up company commercialising novel vibration energy harvesting (VEH), sensors and wireless technology to monitor and track the condition of industrial and mobile assets.

We work with customers to monitor the condition of sophisticated and valuable investments, including machinery, utility networks, infrastructure, transportation and buildings. Asset tracking and condition monitoring are the initial application areas we are targeting but there are many more markets for our innovative products.

Our patented technology was developed at the University of Cambridge, UK, and is distinctive because it allows sensors to operate without battery power, at extremes of temperature, and using MEMS we can manufacture in high volume at low cost.
