Eleven year-old Raphi H, who is a year 7 pupil at The Leys School in Cambridge, spent his half term holiday in his parents’ offices in the city raising money for East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH).
Raphi set about making himself indispensable to office workers - making the tea, delivering post, keeping the kitchen tidy, shredding and much more. He called his company “Squeaky Wheel Snacks” and raised money by selling drinks, crisps and home-baked biscuits and cakes – with special heart-shaped biscuits for Valentine’s Day.
In total Raphi raised £57.20 and is already planning his next fundraising venture for the summer.
EACH is Raphi’s his charity of choice as he wants “to help sick kids to lead better lives.”
EACH cares for children and young people with life-threatening conditions across East Anglia and supports their families.

We rely on voluntary donations to fund the vital services we provide to local families and wouldn’t be able to continue to provide care without the support of our local community and people like Raphi.”

An enterprising young student set up his own business keeping two Cambridge offices well fed this half-term – all to raise money for local children with life-threatening conditions.
