Howard Group sells central Milton Keynes office space to strengthen investment realignment

Howard Group has disposed of its prime office building Silbury Boulevard in Milton Keynes in a transaction generating in excess of £3m.

The standalone freehold building, 152 Silbury Boulevard, has been sold to Castle Property Group Ltd who like other developers will convert the offices into residential space. The site’s central location, accessible car parking facilities, low site coverage and opportunities for extension ensured this was an attractive investment opportunity.

As one of East of England’s leading developers, Howard Group purchased the building in 2010 and refurbished the offices throughout the ground (4,560 sq ft), first (6,297 sq ft) and second (6,287 sq ft) floors as part of its investment portfolio.

Simon Messervy, Property Services Director at Howard Group, said: “The sale of Silbury Boulevard fully strengthens Howard Group’s strategy to dispose of non-core assets to release capital to invest in other projects within the region.”

The detached office building located on the corner of Upper Second Street and Silbury Boulevard is in close proximity to The Centre: MK shopping centre and Milton Keynes Central rail station.
