Mills & Reeve wins again with diversity and inclusion award

Leading UK law firm Mills & Reeve has been awarded Best Diversity and Inclusion Initiative by the Legal Education and Training Group (LETG).

The firm won the award for its work around diversity and inclusion across its six offices for two specific projects; increasing the number of female partners and an initiative to increase BAME (black, Asian and minority ethnic) representation across the firm.

This comes on the back of the Law Society asking Dawn Brathwaite to attend The Queen’s Garden Party at Buckingham Palace in May for her ongoing work around diversity and inclusion, the firm winning Legal Week Marketing Innovation Award for website www.cohabitation-law.co.uk, winning a Best Trainer award from Law.Careers.netand being named for the 15th consecutive year in The Sunday Times Top 100 Employers list.

Rachel Donath, head of learning and development (pictured) said: “A core principle of our work on diversity and inclusion starts with our desire to become a firm that truly represents the communities in which we work. We don’t think of either of these projects is a one-off strategy but more part of our ongoing strategy to be a great place to work. We are hugely proud to accept this award as it affects everything we do and opens up opportunities to all.”
