The Mob Happy Freelance Meetup is about to take off

Are you hiring your first employee, deciding your creative niche or searching for bigger business opportunities? Then come to the Mob Happy Freelance Meetup.

The Mob Happy Freelance Meetup is a place for all creative freelancers to come together and learn how to effectively grow their businesses. Through an engaging and informative series of panel discussions, led by experts from local agencies, individuals discover how to expand and excel in a range of competitive digital sectors.

The first session, “From one to many - hiring your first team member”, takes place on the 24th September 2018 at The Bradfield Centre in Cambridge; speakers include Sue Keogh, Managing Director of Sookio, Sarah Reakes, Managing Director of KISS Communications, and Simon R Jones, Managing Director of Studio 24. Each panellist has succeeded in transforming their solo ventures into bustling multi-person businesses.

Each Meetup has a different theme and includes plenty of time to network at the end. Subsequent topics include “To niche or not”, “Winning bigger business” and “Growing your team”.

The Mob Happy Freelance Meetup was founded by Rubber Cheese’s Managing Director, Kelly Molson. The Meetup runs alongside the Mob Happy mastermind sessions, which act as a peer-to-peer network for agency owners. These sessions focus specifically on increasing the percentage of women agency owners by supporting existing founders on their journey and inspiring promising newcomers.

When asked about the Meetup, Kelly Molson said: “When I founded Mob Happy, it was always my aim to support existing women agency founders, but also to help up-and-coming leaders. This Meetup is for anyone that wants to learn from agency owners who've made the leap from freelancing.”

The Mob Happy Freelance Meetup is free to attend but donations on the day are welcome. All contributions go towards the #15yearsofRubberCheese fundraiser.

From 1st Feb 2018 to 31st January 2019, Rubber Cheese will be attempting to raise £15,000 for The Tamba Bereavement Support Group (BSG). Their weird and wonderful funding challenges are documented on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram using the #15yearsofRubberCheese hashtag.
