Price Bailey Tax consultants celebrate record high number of exam successes

Price Bailey is delighted to announce that among the recent exam successes of its Tax team in the Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) papers, Charlotte Page has won her second medal in her Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT) qualification, adding the Personal Tax prize to her VAT prize and the distinction she obtained in the Business Tax paper.

Nine candidates took CTA papers in the May 2018 sitting, a record number of Price Bailey entrants to the exams, showing the growing investment made into its expanding Tax team. The candidates attempted 13 papers in total, and of these, 77% were passed (an 18% higher than average pass rate on this occasion), proving the high calibre of the advisors Price Bailey has to offer within its ranks.

In Charlotte’s case her ATT mark was the highest from all 709 candidates, which is a fantastic achievement, placing her at the top of the table for the second time in her so far short career. Collecting the Ivison medal at the ATT prize giving ceremony in London later in the year will be a familiar outing for the now double prize winner.

Richard Grimster, Tax Partner at Price Bailey commented, “The Tax team continues to grow at all levels of seniority and we recognise that we must invest in continuous career development at all levels so we’re able to offer our clients well-rounded business advisers who are experts in tax. The ATT and CTA route provides a fantastic academic insight for trainees in how to work with tax legislation, compute liabilities and later in the exams, how to advise on complex matters. The practical experience of working on projects to advise our clients provides the commercial, market practice and business development aspect which is essential for successful careers.

"Our significant investment in the training of our CTA and ATT candidates is a testament to the desire for our clients to have high level advice and our aspiration to support our staff to progress and aid the growth of the firm in a sustainable way. A further 12 Price Bailey employees will be sitting tax exams in November 2018.”

Price Bailey is very proud to be supporting such a talented team of up-and-coming tax specialists that will guide and advise their clients well into the future.
