Help design the future of beauty and hair electronics

Cambridge Wireless (CW) and ghd, the global leader in hair tools and subsidiary of the third largest beauty company in the world (Coty), are looking for start-ups, scale-ups & SMEs to enter the ghd Innovation Hive for a three month, funded, collaborative project that will help shift haircare to the connected era.

Ideal participants will have demonstrable experience in developing:
  • Smart and connected devices
  • Sensor technology
  • IoT platforms
  • Mobile applications
  • Exceptional user experiences
  • Machine learning and data processing algorithms
  • Data security processes

Based in The Bradfield Centre, Cambridge, successful applicants will work alongside the ghd R&D team, the CW community and local technology mentors to design a prototype connected hair-styling device. The work will be funded and if intellectual property from the ghd Innovation Hive is taken to market, start-ups may negotiate commercial terms.
