Greenwoods GRM plays key role in supporting high-profile Singapore conference

This year’s International Grouping of Accountants and Lawyers (IGAL) conference in November is being held in Singapore. Greenwoods GRM has played a key role in supporting the event through Senior Partner, Jane Laidler, who is a member of IGAL’s Executive Board and the network’s vice president.

Jane Laidler said: “Greenwoods GRM is well known for its international expertise, particularly in the German-speaking countries, Italy and South Korea. Our involvement with IGAL and our relationships with the member firms enables us to further extend our international relationships through this leading network of professionals from across the globe.”

The conference programme includes an address by UK Minister of State for Asia and the Pacific, The Rt Hon Mark Field MP, who is expected to speak on UK-ASEAN relations.  Minister Field was recently at the Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) Summit with the British Prime Minister, where he met with ministers and leaders from across Asia.

The aim of the conference is to provide an opportunity for international delegates to discuss UK-ASEAN relations and doing business in Singapore and South East Asia.  And, as you might expect, given the current significance of international trading relationships, the IGAL annual conference has generated considerable interest in the Singapore and South East Asian press.

Alper Deniz, Partner and Head of Finance and Investment Funds at Greenwoods GRM who advises clients operating in the financial sector in the region, will also attend.

Continuing Jane Laidler said: “We are very pleased to be a member of IGAL, having been involved for over 18 years.   The shifts in today’s global economy drive home the importance of being well-connected internationally and the IGAL annual conference is a great way to reinforce and build on our existing connections.”
