Supporting Good Mental Health at Work 1st March 2019

Your People Potential is running a one-day workshop next month. It will enable you to explore common issues around mental health at work, raise an awareness of the signs and symptoms and provide skills training to discuss mental health with confidence.

Who is it for?

Line managers with responsibility for others.

Aims:

This workshop aims to give you an understanding of mental health, skills to recognise signs of poor mental health and confidence when discussing concerns.

The workshop covers the following areas:

Building Awareness

  • What do we know about mental health?
  • Recognising the signs of stress and poor mental health
  • Knowing how to respond appropriately

Confident Conversations to Reduce the Impact of Poor Mental Health

  • Preparing for conversations with the team
  • Exploring fears and reducing discomfort
  • Practising a solution-focused tool to managing different perspectives
  • Planning to apply your learning in the workplace

Format:

The training focuses on management competences to reduce and prevent stress. It is a mix of theory and practical application of new behaviours. Managers are encouraged to consider their team members during the training, and will be asked to develop an action plan for putting their learning into practice in the workplace.

Kings Training Room, Upper Pendrill Court, Ermine Street North, Papworth Everard, CB23 3UY.

Friday 1 March 2019, 10am – 4pm.

Tea, coffee and water will be provided all day. There are 2 cafes to choose from during the lunch break.
