Business Intelligence Analyst

We require a bright and enthusiastic Business Intelligence Analyst to work within our busy IT department. You will be responsible for ensuring the success of data-driven platforms and developing business intelligence systems. Passionate about the IT industry with an in-depth knowledge of databases, you are proactive, tenacious and absolutely love a challenge.

To succeed in this role you will be business-orientated and know how meaningful data creates advantage.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Install, configure and maintain the array of Microsoft SQL servers, reporting services and associated data platforms
  • Working within the IT department, advising on the IT strategy
  • Providing support, advice and becoming the subject matter expert to the Microsoft Dynamics community at TTP
  • Owning the database and document management system (DMS) roadmap
  • Project managing complex programmes that add real value to the business
  • Educate and train the wider business when required on a variety of databases and applications



Skills and experience:

  • Minimum of three years database and applications support & development
  • Excellent working knowledge of SQL, SSIS, SSRS & Visual Studio
  • Good working knowledge of CRM (ideally Dynamics 365) and PowerBI – full training will be provided
  • Understanding of ETL, SSDT, PowerShell, SharePoint and programming principles
  • Having worked in an environment running DMS and ERP systems would be advantageous but not essential
  • Strong communication (written and verbal) and analytical skills
  • Team player with a willingness to learn new technologies and approaches
  • Experience of working within a similar technology or engineering environment would be advantageous but not essential


Qualifications and training:

  • Relevant Microsoft curriculum and accreditation in project management (e.g. PRINCE2, APM, Agile) would be advantageous but not essential
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
