Bookkeeper (with additional Junior Office Manager tasks)

Camprop Development / Camprop Construction is a boutique private equity real estate group, raising capital globally from private investors for deployment into multiple property development projects in Cambridge.
Based mainly in Cambridge, with a small presence in Central London, we are currently growing our own construction management team to deploy into many of the projects.
We are seeking a Bookkeeper and general Office Manager to join the team on a full time basis- both to control each project SPV and also to work within the new construction team to set up best practices, working structures and procedures.

You will be responsible for defining, setting up and performing accounting, forecasting and bookkeeping processes to include-
• Preparation of VAT, CIS and annual returns for multiple entities
• Reconciliation of invoices against bank statements using Xero
• P&L, Cash flow, financial forecast, management accounts
• Bank account control, processing of sales invoices, receipts and payments
• General bookkeeping, payroll, PAYE etc
• Management of company expenses
• Responsible for creditors and debtors

In addition to the daily and monthly bookkeeping and accounting requirements you will need to help organise the operation.

Over time you will have the opportunity to become involved in the analysis of investment projects, building financial models for potential projects to identify key performance measures which will assist with investment decisions along with ongoing monitoring and financial management thereafter.

 

You will ideally have -

Experience in the property development/construction sector

Be confident and proactive in setting up new systems and processes in a new company

Interest in start ups, property sector, since there might be opportunities to step up (to more senior executive tasks)

Ability to work independently, and also help to form new team culture and work ethic with your new team

Methodical approach, with an exceptional eye for detail and deadlines

Good organisation skills, able to prioritise

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Strong IT/computer skills

The ability to build strong relationships

 

Salary £25,000-£35,000 depending on experience, plus possible bonus based on performance
