CUB UK in March has sponsored a local charitable organisation. The WDKRC is all about grass kart racing and providing an exciting activity that families and young people can get involved in. There are only three grass kart racing clubs left in the United Kingdom and they are the largest.
They do not receive any funding and everything is paid out of their own pockets. Martin Osborne from the organisation had this to say “The WDKRC is a smaller club in comparison to other charitable organisations. At present the club is struggling financially therefore support from commercial organisations such as CUB UK helps the club to survive. CUB UK has recently sponsored three heats for the British Championships taking place on the 5th July. This sponsorship is very much appreciated and we are very much looking forward to their continued support going forward.”
Louis Fairfax, Managing Director had this to say “The WDKRC has been around for a long time and always provides fantastic fun for everyone who attends. It is always good to support a local organisation especially one as long serving as the WDKRC and I can’t wait to get into a kart myself.”
To say thanks for the sponsorship the WDKRC have offered for two employees from CUB UK the opportunity to give kart racing a try. Louis Fairfax and Matthew Plumb took up the challenge and had lots of fun.
Matthew Plumb, Relationship Manager at CUB (UK) Ltd had this to say “It was very kind and generous of the WDKRC to invite us along to give kart racing a try. It is something I have never tried before and was a bit apprehensive at first. Though when you get behind the wheel it is really fun and I didn’t want to stop. It is always good to sponsor a local charitable organisation and this one is very deserving of it. I hope we when we sponsor them in the future I can have another go.”
CUB (UK) Ltd will be looking at continuing sponsorship of the WDKRC next year. We hope that others get on board and donate as well to this charitable organisation.
