Dr Asha Praseedom started her training in psychiatry in Edinburgh and completed it in Cambridge.
In 2006 she was appointed Consultant Psychiatrist and Clinical Lead for the Cambridge Psychiatric Rehabilitation Service.
She has been part of the inpatient psychiatric services in Cambridge since 2013.
Dr Praseedom is Vice- chair of the Rehabilitation and Social Psychiatry Faculty at the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
Her interests include Psychological therapies, EMDR, Perinatal mental health, Mental health law, and Medical leadership.
