Major production milestone for Domino Printing

A global leader in the development and manufacturing of coding, marking, and printing technologies celebrates another major milestone at its Bar Hill headquarters.

Domino Printing has just manufactured its 40,000th Ax-Series continuous ink jet (CIJ) printer on the production line at its Cambridge manufacturing site. 

First launched in 2016, the printer is now being used all over the world. Its design means that the printer is suitable for the most demanding industrial coding environments, with customer applications in industries as diverse as food production, pharmaceutical packaging, and electronics component manufacturing.  

Belinda Pryor, Manufacturing Manager said: “Six years on, our Ax-Series continues to set the benchmark for CIJ coding in the industry. The 40,000th printer to be produced here marks another significant milestone for Cambridge and our business globally.”

Domino employs over 2,900 people worldwide and sells to more than 120 countries through a global network of 25 subsidiary offices and more than 200 distributors. Domino’s manufacturing facilities are located in China, Germany, India, Sweden, Switzerland, UK, and the USA.
