What we learned from talking to businesses about Microsoft Copilot

Professional using Microsoft Copilot to improve productivity by organising tasks, managing documents and collaborating more efficiently.

Microsoft Copilot is one of the fastest-growing technologies in the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, but many organisations are still asking the same questions.

How does it actually help? Is it ready for everyday use? Where do you start?

We recently had the opportunity to bring together professionals from a range of organisations to discuss their experiences, explore practical use cases, and demonstrate how Microsoft Copilot is already helping people save time and work more effectively.

Practical Uses Are What Matter
One thing became clear very quickly. While the technology is evolving rapidly, businesses are looking for practical guidance rather than technical demonstrations. They want to understand how Copilot can help with everyday tasks such as summarising meetings, analysing Excel data, drafting documents, managing emails and finding information more quickly.

Successful Adoption Starts with Good Foundation
The discussions also highlighted that successful adoption is about more than simply switching Copilot on. Good file organisation, sensible permissions and an understanding of when to rely on AI, and when to apply human judgement, are just as important.

Keeping Pace with AI
As Microsoft continues to develop Copilot at an incredible pace, keeping up to date can be challenging. That's why practical, hands-on learning and the opportunity to share experiences with others are becoming increasingly valuable.
