Fitzbillies
Fitzbillies is a 106-year-old bakery and café, with three branches in the historic centre of Cambridge and their newest addition opening recently in Harston.
Founded in 1920, the original branch of Fitzbillies, on Trumpington St, has served generations of undergraduates, academics and visitors to Cambridge with a huge array of baked goods, all made by hand in its artisan bakery. They became renowned for their ultra-sticky Chelsea buns, which still remain a best-seller across all branches in 2026.
Fitzbillies on Trumpington Street has grown to have three shops side-by-side - coffee shop, restaurant and cake shop, and further branches opened on Bridge Street and King's Parade, opposite King's College Chapel. In the summer of 2026, Fitzbillies moved its bakery to a new space in Harston, 5 miles south of Cambridge, a larger space that also incorporates a cafe.
In recent years Fitzbillies has grown a successful ecommerce business, selling it's favourite products and also packaging up complimentary flavours in gift boxes and hampers. They deliver to all areas in the UK and also allow for collections from any Fitzbillies branch.
Fitzbillies offers a wide range of services for local companies. If you are celebrating a corporate milestone, or team event we can make you a bespoke cake to serve anything from 6 to 300 people. We can provide breakfast pastry boxes and afternoon tea selections for meetings. Or treat your team, or tempt them back into the office with cakes and pastries.
