Carbon Literacy Accredited Training

COP27 is scheduled to begin on the 7th of November 2022. We are providing SMEs with an opportunity to become accredited by the Carbon Literacy Project on that day. The course will be fully interactive and cover all aspects of carbon literacy. Each attendee will gain accreditation on completion of the course plus the successful assessment of a personal and an organisational Action Plan outlining the steps that will be taken to combat climate change. To book your place, please visit https://peakgovernance.co.uk/clad-accredited-course

During the course we will introduce and discuss the challenges you face in respect of climate change, and offer a range of actions which you can take to help arrest the increase in temperature which threatens our planet.

There is no pre-course work required.

The outline content of the course is shown below. To provide you with the maximum benefit from the course, the detail – include possible actions - will revolve around you as a person, the company you work for, and where you live.

To get the maximum value from the course we ask that you participate freely and respect the views of other delegates (which may be different from your views). The course is fast paced, and will require your full attention, so we ask that you set the requisite time aside for the sessions in order to ensure you have no distractions

Throughout the course you will be asked to participate in breakout sessions with a small number of other delegates. In addition, there are some exercises that are more beneficial when done on an individual basis.

We look forward to meeting you and hope that you enjoy the course.

The course, which is designed to be interactive, will cover as a minimum:

  • The history of the climate emergency

  • Greenhouse Gases

  • The Impact of Climate Change

  • Where We Are Now

  • Predictions About Climate Change

  • Moving Forward

  • COP 26 – The Declarations and Progress So far
