Charlotte Horobin – CEO, Cambridgeshire Chambers of Commerce
Charlotte became CEO of Cambridgeshire Chambers of Commerce in July 2023. Before joining the Chamber she held the position of Region Director, Midlands and East of England at Make UK, the national body for UK manufacturing (formerly EEF).
Charlotte is responsible for leading the representation of the Chamber’s membership and holds numerous positions including being a member of the Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Combined Authority Business Board and Chairs the Skills & Employment Board.
She is also the Chair of the Strategic Advisory Board for InterAct a £4.4 million Made Smarter Innovation funded, Economic and Social Research Council-led network. She is also a member of the University of Cambridge Industry Advisory Board at the Institute for Manufacturing.
Charlotte will be giving a local overview at the event.

Shevaun’s Biography:
Director General of British Chambers of Commerce (BCC) since April 2021, Shevaun was formerly Head of Business Engagement at Number 10 Downing Street and was at the heart of Government in the Cabinet Office as Head of the Inclusive Economy Partnership.
Shevaun started her career in consultancy in London and New York. She then moved to the Walt Disney Company in strategic planning before joining Disneyland Paris, opening its second theme park. Shevaun then joined the agency world, running global accounts for Millward Brown, Mindshare and WPP.
Following this, she started her own business as a partner in a digital innovation agency and venture builder, Independents United, where she also became an Advisor for the Danson Foundation. Most recently, Shevaun was the New Ventures Director for Avado, building new businesses in Edtech and founding the Academy of Digital Business Leaders.
Shevaun has a passion for business as a force for good. She was elected to the International Chambers of Commerce’s (ICC) World Chambers Federation General Council and is a Board member of ICC UK. She is a Trustee of the Women of the World Foundation (WoW) and a Trustee of Barefoot College International, as well as a Venture Partner at the Conduit Connect.

The Princess of Wales Hospital (Ely) Charitable Trust (POW Ely Trust) was formed in 2023/4 to provide support to the patients and staff of The Princess of Wales Hospital (Ely). The Charity’s aim is to fund essential projects that improve patient care. By investing in vital equipment we can enhance the facilities and services that are able to be provided by the NHS Our goal is to ensure patients receive the best possible services while supporting the work of the healthcare professionals who care for them.
There is an urgent need to provide support for The Princess of Wales Hospital. It needs to modernise its equipment and facilities and this can only be achieved with the help of the local community.
