From Intercepted Missiles to the Silicon Fen: Why I’m Bringing Capytech Home to Cambridge

Capytech UK - Custom E-learning

Every business growth story has a turning point. Mine was standing in my garden in Dubai, watching air defence systems intercept missiles directly above my family's villa.

After 13 years of living in the UAE and building a digital learning enterprise from the ground up, that moment brought a sudden, sharp clarity. It was time to bring my family home.

Moving back to the UK has been both exhilarating and humbling. In Dubai, Capytech is an established partner trusted by major global organisations and government entities to deliver bespoke e-learning , LMS and training technology. But landing back here in Cambridge, I am acutely aware that we are, in essence, a start-up all over again. I arrived with a laptop, a wealth of international experience, and absolutely no local network.

However, the transition has reminded me of why the UK business ecosystem is so unique.

I didn’t fully realise the sheer volume of support available to growing businesses here until I started reaching out. I’ve already met some fantastic, generous people who have gone out of their way to guide me, including Chris George from the Combined Authority, who has been instrumental in helping me find my feet.

The warmth and collaborative spirit of the Cambridge business community has been incredible. While we are starting fresh locally, our operational foundation is rock solid. We are fully set up to help regional businesses scale their training, bypass content bottlenecks, and deploy modern learning platforms.

I am incredibly excited to be running a business in Cambridge and look forward to connecting, learning from, and collaborating with fellow members of the Cambridge Network.

If you are around the area and fancy a coffee, a chat about digital learning, or just a swap of regional business stories, please do reach out.
