The AI balancing act: what is AI really changing in your team?

Cambridge Network Event

AI is changing how quickly we can produce work. But what is research telling us about how it is changing about the way teams work together and what we need to lead well?

Most organisations are focused on choosing the right AI tools and putting the right governance in place. Fewer are asking what AI means for trust, leadership and how people learn and make decisions together.

The workshop shares 2026 practitioner research that looks at AI adoption, spanning eight or more industries. The research and wider literature suggests that how teams approach AI together may matter as much, if not more than the technology itself.

Join Nic Kidston to explore what the research reveals about the changing dynamics of teams in an AI-enabled workplace. Through fresh insights and a practical exercise, we'll look at the tensions teams are navigating and what these might mean for your own organisation.

You'll also hear from Hayley Williams, who leads Cambridgeshire-based Keystone Marketing, about the company's AI journey and its approach to involving the whole team in shaping how the technology is used.

You'll leave with:

  • A fresh perspective on what makes the difference between adopting AI and making it work well for teams.
  • New questions to help you explore trust, leadership and collaboration in your own organisation.
  • A practical way to reflect on the tensions AI brings to team life and where your team might focus next.
  • A free companion guide, The AI balancing act, with eight questions to explore with your team.

Who it's for: Team leaders, business owners, senior leadership teams, HR and L&D professionals, and anyone helping people navigate AI adoption and organisational change.
