Harshita Sharma (Microsoft)
Talk title: Enhancing Radiology Report Generation With Segmentation-Aware Multimodal LLMs
Short Bio: Dr. Harshita Sharma is a senior ML researcher at Microsoft, where she explores machine learning solutions to improve patient outcomes and clinical workflows. Her research interests include large multimodal models, biomedical imaging, computer vision, and multimodal clinical data analysis for healthcare. Prior to joining Microsoft, she was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Oxford, working on multimodal machine learning to model sonographic experience in fetal ultrasound. She received her PhD in computer vision from the Technical University of Berlin, with a strong focus on image analysis and machine learning for digital pathology

Ryan Daniels (Department of Computer Science and Technology, University of Cambridge)
Talk title: Nanowire Networks for Neuromorphic Computing
Short Bio: Ryan is a Senior Machine Learning Engineer with the Accelerate Programme for Scientific Discovery, and is interested in driving forward scientific research which is grounded in excellent software engineering and machine learning fundamentals. Before working at Accelerate, Ryan’s research interests explored unconventional approaches to computing using complex physical devices from the world of condensed matter physics.
