Cam Sight launches visually impaired Pilates

Local charity Cam Sight, which supports people living with sight loss in Cambridgeshire, is running weekly Pilates sessions at the YMCA Cambridge.

The morning sessions are held every Wednesday from 10.30am – 11.30am, with evening sessions commencing from Monday 8 November, 6.15pm – 7.15pm.

Cam Sight has been awarded funding by the National Lottery and Living Sport UK to support the local visually impaired community in taking part in this activity. The sessions are free for anyone who is visually impaired and are taught and made accessible by instructors who have vast experience in teaching those living with a visual impairment.

Mike Jenkins, Chief Executive of the charity said: “This is a fantastic opportunity to improve physical and emotional well-being.  In these unprecedented times this is vitally important for the community we serve, and I would like to thank the National Lottery and Living Sport UK for helping us make it happen.”

YMCA, Gonville Place, Cambridge, CB1 1ND is located opposite Parker's Piece. Transport links are easily accessible from the train and bus station. Parking for Blue Badge holders is available but extremely limited, it is important you check the vehicle in at the main reception.

Booking is essential. Please contact Cam Sight’s Outreach Worker, Alex Innes on 07950110943 or email [email protected]
