Cambridge businesses team up for EY’s Charity Quiz to raise £8k

The annual EY Charity Quiz has now raised over £8k for Cancer Research and Arthur Rank Hospice, thanks to the support of Cambridge businesses.

A total of 35 teams from businesses in Cambridge went head-to-head at this year’s EY Charity Quiz last week at The Guildhall.

This year’s winning team was Samsung, who received the Alan Murray Shield, which is presented to the winners each year in memory of Alan Murray, who worked for EY and sadly passed away 14 years ago after battling cancer.

Nick Gomer, EY’s Managing Partner for the East, said: “It was a fantastic evening, which saw over 300 people from the Cambridge business community come together to raise over £8k for Cancer Research and Arthur Rank Hospice – two charities close to our hearts at EY Cambridge. Through the support of the local business community, over the last 14 years of holding the annual EY Charity Quiz we’ve been able to donate over £86k to these worthy causes.”
