With the UK government declaring a climate emergency, the cleantech sector is poised to play a pivotal role in bringing innovation, clean growth and a sustainable future together.
Keynote speakers at Cleantech Futures include Dr. Beatrix Schlarb-Ridley, Director of Innovation and Impact at the British Antarctic Survey, who will talk about how we can work together for a 1.5c future; Mayor of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough James Palmer sharing the latest on cleantech growth for the UK; and Lewis Herbert, Leader of Cambridge City Council, who will present an eco plan for North East Cambridge. There will also be talks about cleantech business on the international scene and a roundtable discussion on the next steps for a cleantech innovation strategy. During this day-long conference, renowned experts and policymakers will talk about how clean technology can help to overcome global challenges and create a more sustainable future. The conference is meant for businesses, entrepreneurs and academics interested in learning how clean innovation can help achieve Sustainable Development Goals and gives them the opportunity to meet and network with academics and entrepreneurs in this field.
A Meet the Buyer programme will be organised at the end of the day, where clean technology SMES have the opportunity to meet three ‘innovation hungry’ corporates seeking cleantech solutions for their businesses: Enzen, Anglian Water and Urban and Civic.
