Commercial Coordinator Full time / £25,000 – £30,000 plus benefits

We have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Coordinator to join our team at GMSL, this newly created role provides administrative support to the COO and Commercial Managers across contract, pricing and client management.

Commercial Coordinator

In this newly created Commercial Coordinator role, reporting to the Commercial Managers and working closely with the COO, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing contract, pricing and client management support in addition to researching the market, responding to new and existing client enquiries, updating sales materials and undertaking competitor analysis.

The responsibilities of the role include:

Contract Management and Administration 

  • Providing administrative client support and contract management, including configuration, revisions and renewals. 
  • Tracking commercial data and providing, analysis and recommendations.
  • Completing ad-hoc projects in support of the delivery of the GMSL commercial strategy.

Client Communications

  • Managing inbound client enquiries and providing first line response and lead qualification.
  • Coordinating client meetings, contributing to presentations, presenting and capturing client information and commercial requirements.
  • Coordinating the development of sales documentation, brochures and materials.
  • Coordinating corporate events and exhibition attendance (UK and Europe) and supporting the Commercial Managers in identifying key commercial opportunities by following up leads generated.
  • Maintaining the website and LinkedIn page and ensuring all commercial-related information is made available, up to date and relevant to client needs.
  • Researching potential marketing opportunities. 

Market Analysis and Insights

  • Conducting market research, competitor and trend analysis and collating and sharing findings and recommendations.
  • Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of GMSL’s service offering.

Essential skills, knowledge, experience and qualifications:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and Word).
  • Excellent organisation and ability to manage and prioritise multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in a customer facing or client management support role. 
  • Interest in the software or energy industries would be advantageous 

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following key behavioural competencies:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to communicate concisely and with clarity both in person and virtually.
  • Strong self-starter, able to work independently or collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Personable and diplomatic with strong relationship building skills to engage professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Reliable, with an understanding of confidentiality requirements.
  • Able to act as a professional representative of GMSL at all times.

Hours and location

The Commercial Coordinator role is offered on a permanent, full-time basis (37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday) and located at our Cambridge office.

Our Cambridge office is centrally located in the Hills Road, CB2 area, within walking distance of Cambridge train station and the city centre; we have bike and car parking available.

Salary and benefits

The salary for this role will be in the region of £25,000 to £30,000pa, depending on experience.
