Highways England says the work will take place on the A14 westbound carriageway, between junctions 29 (Bar Hill) and junction 26 (St Ives). There will be overnight closures from Monday 11 May to Friday 22 May. These works will take place between 10pm and 6am.
The work on the A14 includes carriageway resurfacing and patching, and the renewal of road markings and road studs.
During the overnight closures on the A14 westbound a clearly signed diversion route will be in place.Traffic will be diverted eastbound along the A14 to junction 32 and then westbound along the A14/A428 to Eaton Socon before going northbound on the A1 to re-join the A14 at junction 22 or 24.
Access for residents will be retained at all times, with local residents who require access escorted past the roadworks by traffic marshals. Although a full closure will be required this will be after Bar Hill, so direct access is maintained for its residents.
The work is dependent on suitable weather conditions, and dates may be subject to change.
Work on the eastbound carriageway will begin after this work is complete. More details will be announced soon.

Road users are advised resurfacing works will start on the A14 in Cambridgeshire on Monday (11 May) for two weeks.
