Entrants select from various project scenarios for which they have to come up with a proposal and supporting materials then present as if at a public meeting, taking questions from the audience.
This year two teams entered the East of England heat held at Fitzwilliam College, Cambridge in April. The other team was also from AECOM, representing the Chelmsford office. The St Albans office beat them and won a place in the South East Semi-Final held in Peterborough. This time they beat a team from Nottingham University.
The final will take place in London on 23 September.
