Anglia Ruskin honour for high-flying Amanda

Anglia Ruskin University graduate Amanda Clack has received this year’s Alumni Success in Business Award, sponsored by the Luminus Group.

Amanda, who has a BSc (Hons) degree in Quantity Surveying from Anglia Ruskin, heads up the South East region consultancy division for PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP.

PwC is the largest of the ‘Big Four’ accountancy firms and Amanda specialises in business transformation by helping private sector clients with their growth, efficiency and talent management agendas.  Amanda is also Head of Profession for Programme and Portfolio Management, as well as a member of PwC’s real estate leadership team.

Amanda became one of the youngest ever Fellows at the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and in July of this year was appointed Vice President of RICS.  She is also a member of the Institute of Management and is a Certified Management Consultant.

Before joining PwC, Amanda was a Partner at project management and organisational change specialists Hornagold & Hills, where she led the business transformation team.

Alongside her high-flying career, Amanda is active in the fields of art, charity and sport.  With a passion for music, she has been a committee member and trustee for the London Festival Orchestra since 2006.  She is also a Freeman of the City of London, a member of the Surveyors Livery Company, and has been a Director of the Royal Burnham Yacht Club.

During 2011, Amanda took part in the Responsible Leadership Programme, which has been developed by PwC in collaboration with the not-for-profit organisation Common Purpose.  As part of the scheme, Amanda worked very closely with the Edinburgh Cyrenians – a charity that supports people on the margins of society.

Sue Jacobs, Head of Alumni Relations at Anglia Ruskin, said: “Amanda is a marvellous role model for our students.  Her success in the business world alongside her active community engagement work makes Amanda a worthy winner of the 2013 Alumni Success in Business Award.”
