Anglia Ruskin University seeks success stories from former students

Former Anglia Ruskin University students who have achieved success in their respective careers and fields are being sought for the 2018 Vice Chancellor’s Outstanding Alumni Awards.

Anglia Ruskin opened nominations for the event, in its third year, on Saturday at a reunion for former students in Cambridge. Any former student of Anglia Ruskin, or any of its previous incarnations, is eligible for nomination in the following categories:

  • Alumni Service to Society
  • Alumni Entrepreneur of the Year
  • Alumni Contribution to Culture
  • Young Alumni of the Year
  • Alumni Lifetime Achievement Award

Professor Iain Martin, Vice Chancellor of Anglia Ruskin University, said: “Our annual alumni awards are a wonderful opportunity to recognise some of our former students who have excelled in their chosen field or contributed to their community.

“Our students remain part of the Anglia Ruskin community after they graduate and throughout their life. It is always inspiring to hear their stories and we look forward to celebrating with them in November.”

Nominations must be received by 11.59pm on Sunday, 29 July. The awards will take place in November at a celebration event at Anglia Ruskin’s Chelmsford campus, hosted by BBC television presenter and Anglia Ruskin lecturer Dr Ben Garrod, who is also an alumnus.
