The organisers of the annual Cambridge Light Festival are inviting photographers to share their favourite photographs of 'moving light' in their Photography Competition.

There are four categories of photograph:

  • Long exposure
  • Light-painting
  • Street photography
  • Black and White photography

The competition is open for entries from today, 11 November 2014, to 11 January 2015 and entrants will need to register online following this link to participate. Winners will be notified by 2 February 2015, and the entries will create an exhibition at the e-Luminate Cambridge Festival (11-15 February).

One grand-prize winner will be awarded from all eligible entries. In addition each category will be awarded a first and second prize.

The judging panel will include international photography luminaries including former High Sheriff, business Founder, Entrepreneur, music Patron, and photographer Nigel Brown, and  Dr Sergio Fava, Photography Lecturer in the Cambridge School of Art.
