Another Data Centre in Cambridge? No... look at 'The Gatehouse' as an option

A recent article attracts Datacentre Industry Experts to debate the importance of location for a Colocation Datacentre.

Alex Rabbetts from Migsolv comments: "The geographical location of a colocation data centre is one of the least important factors that should be considered when selecting a provider. The level of risk should be a major consideration, for example, is it in an area that is at risk of flooding? Is terrorism a likely risk factor?" As Migsolv expands its new facility into Cambridge, there is an apocalypse heading for data centres that few have thought about, and far fewer are doing anything about.  Many data centres are coming of age, having been built at the end of the 1990s and early 2000s. What this means is that many data centres are now nearing end of life. Or, at least, the plant infrastructure that they rely on is. This alone is a risk and is where things begin to get interesting!
