The Community Partnership Programme, which is just one aspect of the community support undertaken by The Cambridge, will see teams work with four charities in 2018, each for a consistent three month period. Unsuccessful applicants will be considered for other aspects of the community programme including a revised donations initiative and an opportunity to be selected as the 2018 AGM beneficiary, where 25p is given for every member vote received. In April 2017 Cam Sight received £1,225 from this scheme.
For 2018 The Cambridge has elected to include two charities out of the four from the housing or homes sector and the remaining two charities are open to all.
At least four Team Leaders from across the business, including both head office and branches, will be on hand to work closely with each charity partner to develop a series of exciting fundraising activities. These can range from cake stalls and face painting to larger scale fundraising events such as ‘Tour De Branch’ a 111 mile bike ride round the firm's branches.

We’d love to join forces with charities that can devote some time to develop a fantastic calendar of activities over the three months and we are keen to encourage applications from all sizes of organisations notably homes and housing charities.”
A 2017 partner is Alzheimers Research UK. Hannah Reynolds, Community Fundraising Officer comments: “Dementia is one of the greatest challenges facing the world today. Right now there are 850,000 people fighting dementia in the UK alone – costing the UK economy £24 billion – and by 2040, there are expected to be 1.5 million people with dementia.
