Apprenticeship Careers Fair brings employers and job-hunters together

Businesses will be showcasing their apprenticeship vacancies at a special job fair this month to mark National Apprenticeship Week – giving job-hunters the chance to find their perfect career.

Among the companies taking part in the event at Cambridge Regional College will be employers from the healthcare, engineering and fitness sectors, all with current vacancies on offer.

The day is part of a series of events at the college to celebrate National Apprenticeship Week, with visits by schools in the morning of the careers fair and plenty of ‘Have a Go’ activities to encourage young people to think about following the apprenticeship route.

Businesses exhibiting at the fair include LA Fitness, a leader in the health and fitness industry, Cobham Antenna Systems, a world-leader in the design and manufacture of communication systems, and healthcare agency Availl.

Organiser Howard Cordingley said the careers fair was a great opportunity to promote apprenticeships – the gold standard of business training.

“We will be bringing together employers and job-hunters, and we hope both of them will benefit from meeting each other – by finding the perfect employee or the ideal new job,” he said.

The Apprenticeship Careers Fair, which takes place on Friday, 15 March, will be open to the public and students from 12pm to 3pm. To book a stand, or to find out more about apprenticeships, call 01223 418778 or email training@camre.ac.uk
