Aimed at parents whose children are considering starting an apprenticeship, the evening will give visitors the chance to talk to current apprentices, employers and tutors, and hear an expert presentation.

The event takes place in the college’s Park Restaurant on Thursday, 1 December from 6pm to 7.30pm.

Angela Hughes, head of apprenticeship programmes at the college, said it was a great opportunity for parents to find out more about the benefits of apprenticeships and the different levels of programmes available.

“Many parents still don’t know about the full extent of apprenticeship programmes, and that they are now a real alternative to university. This is an event just for them, with plenty of opportunity to ask questions and talk to the experts, as well as to students who are now on an apprenticeship programme,” she said.
