Apprenticeships popular with employers at Cambridge B2B exhibition

Apprenticeships were top of the agenda for many employers at the Cambridge B2B exhibition, all keen to find out more from Cambridge Regional College business advisers.

The biggest area of interest was in apprenticeships for management, administration and digital and social media, with businesses keen to recruit apprentices in the specialist areas.

The exhibition, organised by Cambridgeshire Chambers of Commerce and sponsored by CRC, was one of the biggest events of the year and attracted hundreds of visitors to the show, held in a giant hangar at Cambridge International Airport.

CRC’s special offer of 20 per cent off short courses booked within a month of the show also proved very popular.

CRC Business Development Manager Phil Stittle said the show had been a huge success with both visitors and exhibitors.

“We were delighted to sponsor such a successful exhibition for the local business community,” he said.

“It was a great event, allowing employers to network and promote and receive business. We found
apprenticeships to be a key interest area - it was high on a lot of people’s agenda with management, administration and digital and social media apprenticeships at the top of their lists.”

CRC’s ‘show special’ of 20 per cent off the price of one-day short courses includes Mentoring Skills, Excel/Word and Food Safety, which can be completed either at the college or in the workplace.
