The new Norwich Energy Innovation Park has been developed by the Goff Group, which delivers heating oil across East Anglia and the south-east, and will be based at Goff’s premises near the existing Hethel Engineering Centre, Norwich. The planning submission follows an on-line consultation which attracted interest from over 20,000 people and received over-whelming support.
Project Manager, Saul Humphrey said: “this latest development is designed to provide flexible space for “clean growth” creating almost 9,000sq m of high quality, low carbon employment space with naturally ventilated offices, extensive and flexible workshops and ‘hub’ space for collaboration. The building is designed around a Glulam and CLT timber framed structure to achieve an “Outstanding” classification under the Building Research Establishment Assessment Method (BREEAM) and as such would the first building in South Norfolk Council’s area to achieve such status. All spaces will be available with flexible tenures to suit post-COVID19 requirements and be ideally positioned on the Cambridge Norwich Tech Corridor.”
