Do you want to help make a difference? CBM UK, an international Christian disability and development organisation, is looking for three new dedicated trustees to join their board.

CBM is working towards improving the quality of life of persons with disabilities and those at risk of disabilities in some of the poorest countries in the world. Launched in Cambridge in 1996, CBM UK is an associate member of CBM International.

The organisation is looking to extend the governance strengths of its existing Trustee Board by recruiting people with a strategic focus and with skills and experience in charities, business improvement, financial and legal activities.

New trustees will be expected to work towards ensuring that CBM UK is directed effectively in order to deliver its purpose, vision and mission; to take decisions and play an important role in managing and directing CBM UK’s future.

Skills and abilities

Nominations would be particularly welcomed from individuals who have the following skills and experience:

  • Knowledge of the disabilities sector
  • Experience of International Development
  • Fundraising and political areans
  • Building alliance and lobbying in buisness
  • Finance experience

Your skills and commitment will be appreciated and valued.

The Board meets four times a year in the daytime and Trustees will also be asked to join sub-committees from time to time. Estimated commitment 10 days a year.

CBM UK trustees are asked to commit to a minimum of 2 years.

CBM is keen to receive expressions of interest from a range of people including a diverse ethnic, persons with disabilities, gender and age profile.
