Are you interested in working with and for young people?
NIE is looking for people to contribute to the development of strategies and with a particular strength in one or all of the following:
• Fundraising
• Finance (accountancy or book keeping experience)
• Education (formal or informal) developing and delivering the arts to children/young adults
• Industry experience working in the creative arts
Above all you will be passionate about the role of NIE in providing contemporary theatre to educate, inform and inspire its audience.
Expectations
The Board meets four times a year, plus an annual away day. Board meetings take place in NIE’s office at Cambridge Junction but from time to time Board members also participate in meetings by Skype or Facetime. Trustees are expected to make reasonable efforts to attend at NIE opening nights and to see the work of the company regularly.
The role is a voluntary one and is unpaid. The role is that of a Charity Trustee which carries legal obligations and fiduciary duties and requires compliance with Charity Law. Further details and a full description of the role will be sent to interested parties.
