On the back of a close working relationship the firm has had with this charity, Ashtons is pleased to be a bronze sponsor.
Ashtons has been acting for people with asbestos-related problems for over 20 years and has secured compensation for many people who were exposed, either directly or indirectly, with asbestos.
The firm is also proud to have been involved in the formation of the Anglia Asbestos Disease Support Group, which was established for individuals in East Anglia suffering the effects of exposure to asbestos. This group was set up in 2016 in conjunction with Mesothelioma UK and meets on a monthly basis in Norwich and Bury St Edmunds. The group is open to patients, carers, family members, medical professionals and others experts working with sufferers and aims to give members an increased quality of life.
Mesothelioma UK is a national specialist resource centre, specifically for the asbestos-related cancer, mesothelioma. The charity is dedicated to providing specialist mesothelioma information, support and education, and to improving care and treatment for all UK mesothelioma patients and their carers.
Phoebe Osborne from Ashtons’ Asbestos Disease team (pictured) said: “I’m really proud of all that we are working towards in supporting Mesothelioma UK, their amazing nurses and we are grateful to them in return for supporting our campaign in East Anglia – it is a real privilege to work with the team there”.
