Autumn classes at Cambridge TV Training

Evening classes, Saturday sessions, half day and one day workshops and one term tuition can teach you new skills including filming, editing, lighting, sound, presenting and podcasting.

Our participants learn new skills, but they also have a lot of fun in the process.

Take this latest item filmed at Milton Country Park - Stand Up Paddleboarding is rising in popularity, but like all things in life, it's more difficult than these people make it look!

The same is true for SUP yoga - think of yoga, then add a surf board and a lake. Suddenly you're trying to stabilise yourself on a board that continues to move beneath you - a real test of core muscles!

In terms of filming, our crew was both on the side of the lake and in the water, as these shots show. We love to interview people and are grateful to them for sharing their expertise through interviews and filming opportunities.

These items we create are submitted for TV broadcast to the Cambridge area on channel 7. 

If you want to get involved yourself, here's what's coming up at Cambridge TV Training:

Monday 23 September: One-term 10 week practical course for people who want to work in TV production, make content for broadcast and build your showreel.

Saturday 28 September: eight weeks of Saturday sessions where you learn a new skill each week and put it into action in the afternoon.

2 October: smartphone workshop, 9.30am to 1.30pm, to improve the quality and content of your video, raising your skills behind the camera.

9 October: Wednesday evening course, 6.30pm to 8.30pm (course runs 9 Oct, 16 Oct, 23 Oct and 30 Oct). Learn to make YouTube and social media videos, documentaries or just improve your family videos.

21-24 October:  Holiday course for 13-16 year olds, 9am to 5.30pm. During this four day course, mid teens will learn new skills and put them into action, creating an item for possible broadcast on TV.

1 November: podcast workshop, 9.30am to 1.30pm. This is a practical session for people who want to learn how to create an audio only or video podcast. 

6 November: editing workshop, 9.30am to 5.30pm. This one day course will teach Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro, depending on your needs.
