Award-winning wealth adviser to speak at pension investment seminar

Belvoir Peterborough is holding an investment seminar on Wednesday March 25th which features a guest speaker from St James's Place Wealth Management.

A Senior Partner from St. James’s Place Wealth Management will be presenting on the Pension Reform at a seminar hosted by Belvoir Peterborough.

Belvoir Peterborough organises monthly workshops on a variety of topics; mostly related to property investment. In light of the imminent pension reforms, Belvoir is delighted to have secured Andrew Chatterton, Director of Franklyn Financial Management Ltd. to discuss pension planning options.

Andrew Chatterton is a respected and renowned financial adviser who has considerable experience working with entrepreneurs, celebrities and business owners. In 1998, he was appointed a Partner St. James’s Place Wealth Management; an award-winning, FTSE 100 company. Andrew will be the key speaker at Belvoir’s workshop in April, generously sharing some of his knowledge.

Terry Lucking, managing director of Belvoir Peterborough & Belvoir Cambridge said, “It is vital for a business like ours to stay up-to-date with the wider market, economic climate and current affairs. We can then use this knowledge to inform people at our workshops and help them understand how to invest both now and in the future.”

April’s Pension Reform will leave thousands of people aged 55 and above considering the options available to them. The new pension freedoms mean you will no longer be compelled to purchase an annuity, however if you are looking for a guaranteed option for the rest of your life, an annuity is the most secure option. Alternatively, people may choose to invest in alternatives to the traditional pension route such as shares, bonds or even property, which come with risks but may help to grow your pension fund.

Belvoir’s Workshop, “Harmonising Pensions and Buy to Let Investments” will explore all options to enable those concerned to make informed decisions.

Andrew Chatterton of Franklyn Financial management said, "In our experience, so few people really understand and are educated about their financial options. With this impending change of empowerment to the pension investor, I think it is critical they understand the consequences of their actions and learn how the rules will affect them."

The Pension Investment workshop will take place on Wednesday 25th March from 7pm at the Marriot Hotel, Peterborough Business Park. For further information and to book a place please call Belvoir on 01733 321500. Alternatively you can click here to book on our workshops webpage.
